11 Miles to Bryson City, NC

Yes, it rained the whole time.  Yes, it is supposed to rain tomorrow, maybe even snow.

There is something else.  It is Lent, but the Virtual Appalachian Trail (VAT) rules Section 1, Subpoint 1, Article 1 state that the VAT rules supersede all contradicting rules. And the VAT rule is that there is coffee on the long walk.

The trail, which had been marching along around 4 and 5 thousand feet dropped all eleven miles until Bryson City, which is at under 2,000 feet.
